What to Expect
A big weekend built exclusively for highly advanced riders we coach — combining shuttles, jumps, endurance, skill development, and the freedom to ride with (or without) coaches.
Included
- All transport including all shuttles
- 2 nights camping in Toowoomba
- Friday: Afternoon jumps session at Steiner Street, Toowoomba
- Saturday: Shuttle day at Jubilee Park, Toowoomba
- Sunday: Shuttle day at Hiddenvale
Meals
- Basic breakfasts: cereal + milk
- Basic dinners: BBQ + salads
- Riders with dietary needs must self-provide appropriate meals.
Self-Sufficiency Required
This camp requires riders to be organised and self-managed. Each participant must supply:
- All camping equipment
- Bedding
- Clothing suitable for 3 days of riding
- Toiletries
- Basic bike spares (e.g., tubes)
Supervision Model (Important)
This program is STRICTLY for ADVANCED riders we already coach.
It is a lightly supervised experience suitable only for riders capable of independent decision-making and sound risk assessment.
- On-site supervision will be present at all riding locations and the campground
- Riders may choose to ride with coaches at any time
- Riders may also ride without direct supervision and must be capable of assessing their own risk on potentially dangerous features
If your child requires close supervision, makes unsafe choices, or lacks advanced decision-making, this program is not suitable.
Age Requirements
While not strictly age-limited, this camp is best suited to riders 12–17 years old.
Younger or older riders may attend — please contact us prior to booking.
Skill Requirements
This is a highly advanced group.
To participate, riders must be:
- Highly skilled 12+
- Coached by Bike On in our Advanced/Race programs, and/or
- Riding multiple times per week with strong fitness and endurance
- Capable of handling steep, technical, high-speed terrain
- Part of our fast, aggressive teenage race cohort (most riders will be from our race team)
If your child is not regularly coached by us and riding at a high level, this is not the correct program.
Bike Requirements
Bikes must be capable of withstanding high-speed, advanced-level riding on rough, technical terrain.
Minimum Bike Specification
- Dual suspension
- Disc brakes in excellent working order
- Well-adjusted gears
- Tyres with good tread
- 26″ wheels or larger
- Well-maintained and professionally serviced
Critical Safety Note
Riders presenting with:
- Poorly functioning brakes
- Contaminated rotors
- Unsafe or damaged components
will not be allowed to participate, and no refunds will be given for unsafe bikes.
Other Equipment Requirements
Compulsory
- Australian Standards–approved FULL FACE helmet
- Enclosed footwear (MTB-specific strongly recommended)
- Knee pads
- Water and a way to carry it
- A spare tube suitable for the bike
- A charged mobile phone
- Suitable camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, mattress)
- Multiple changes of clothes, toiletries, etc.
Strongly Recommended
Wet Weather & Cancellations
- The camp will run in wet weather unless conditions become unsafe
- Bring appropriate wet-weather clothing
- If we cancel due to weather or safety concerns, a full refund is provided
- If a participant chooses not to attend due to weather, no refund applies
- At our discretion, we may offer a credit for a future session
