Urban Electric Bike Cruising in Noosa

Exploring Noosa on an electric bike is a fun, effortless way to take in the town’s coastal scenery and tourist highlights. Flat bike paths and dedicated cycle lanes make it easy to ride from the river to the sea. A popular route winds along the Noosa River foreshore from the Marina in Tewantin through the riverside parks of Noosaville (Gympie Terrace) and onwards to Hastings Street and Noosa Main Beach. This family-friendly ride offers endless water views and plenty of spots to stop from riverfront picnic areas to cafes serving coffee and gelato. Another great option is the undulating coastal pathway from Noosa Junction though Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach and Peregian Beach, where you’ll ride with ocean vistas at every turn. If you’re visiting between June and October, keep an eye out for migrating humpback whales breaching offshore along the world-famous east coast “Humpback Highway”! With our pedal assist e-bike’s, you can even tackle some hills, like the short climb to Laguna Lookout for a panoramic view over Noosa or to the Noosa National Park car park, where you can lock up the bike and take a short walk to the beautiful secluded beach at Tea Tree Bay.

Top Sights & Attractions (Urban Routes)

  • Hastings Street & Main Beach, Noosa Heads: The heart of Noosa’s tourist district, Hastings Street is meters from Main Beach boardwalk and is lined with accommodation options, stylish boutiques, shops, bars and alfresco restaurants. It’s a perfect place for a post-ride meal or sunset drink at the Surf Club. Or slip into Laguna Bay’s temperate waters to cool off with a relaxing swim at one of Australia’s best family beaches. The beachfront boardwalk here leads to the Noosa National Park entrance, where you might spot koalas sleeping in the gum trees above the trail.
  • Noosa River & Noosaville: A leisurely ride along Gympie Terrace in Noosaville offers views of the Noosa River, where Pelicans and paddleboarders share the calm waters. In nearby Tewantin is the Noosa Marina complex with markets on Sundays, waterfront dining and frequent family events. You can even take the ferry downriver to Hastings Street for a different perspective of your ride.
  • Noosa Spit: At the river mouth lies Noosa Spit Recreation Reserve, a peaceful picnic area with shaded pathways and views of the river meeting the sea. It’s a short detour from Hastings Street and a great spot to watch the sunset over the water.

Noosa is known for its food scene, so you’re spoiled for choice wherever your ride takes you. Grab a coffee or brunch along Hastings Street at a cafe (try Aroma’s. Moonstruck, or 10 Hastings Street) and enjoy people-watching from the sidewalk seating. If grazing on the grass beside the beach is more your speed, you can pick up a takeaway snack from Milk Bar, the Bay Village Food Court or Sushi Sushi. For lunch or dinner, popular upmarket picks include beachfront restaurants like Bistro C and Sails, where you can dine with uninterrupted beach views. Away from the beach in Noosaville, the riverfront is dotted with eateries. Treat yourself to fresh seafood and the best river sunset views at the Noosa Boathouse (a restaurant on a pontoon) or a generous scoop of delicious gelato at Amo Gelato. If you fancy a craft beer, there are boutique breweries and distilleries dotted around town including Land & Sea Brewery just over the road from Bike On headquarters, or Noosa Heads Distillery, Boiling Pot Brewing, and the Heads of Noosa Brewery, each just minutes away from our location.

Noosa has accommodation to suit every holidaying style, although the high demand, especially in summer and school holiday periods ensures prices can often be more than what you would normally expect to pay.
