
Womens workshops
Our Womens workshops are aimed at providing a sociable, comfortable, stress free and specific training package for females only! It's an interactive "hands on" way to increase knowledge in the areas of equipment selection, riding skills and bicycle repairs. We look at the ever increasing range of womens cycling products including WSD (womens specific design) bikes, clothing and accesories. After this initial equipment introduction our cycle skills course provides the opportunity to practise a range of confidence building challenges surrounded by other like minded females.
Beginner-
This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of cycling technique, maintainence and support. The technique section includes a range of helping hints to aid safety whilst riding the road, cycle path or forest. Maintainence includes setup, cleaning, lubricating, basic fault diagnosis, basic adjustments, pre ride safety check, wheel removal and puncture repair. The program concludes by discussing how women can join social riding groups, find like minded riders and share thier experiences with other females.
Intermediate-
Use this next level of womens only workshop to build on your newly found confidence. We delve further into the tech heads realm with a workshop aimed at taking that beginner knowledge further. Exploring the do's and dont's of setup, fault diagnosis and servicing. Expect to learn how to clean and rebuild a headset, hubs, bottom bracket, assess your drive train wear, replace your brake pads and adjust your gears correctly. This workshop also looks at repairs in the field and the tricks of the trade that help you limp home with damaged equipment.
